I didn't have a huge loan, but the interest on it was ridiculous. After a couple of years I finally switched the remainder of the loan to a different lender and that totally changed the speed at which I could pay it back! If it had been interest free, I totally would have just continued to pay the basic amount and put extra money on things like our mortgage. Wow – interest free.
