Forgive me, readers, for I have bought

So I guess 6 months of no clothes, accessories, or shoes is a wee bit ambitious.

I just spent $60+ on clothes… and I can’t really say I’m sorry! My haul includes a gorgeous summer print dress ($10) and a cheery vintage coat ($40). Please don’t be too disappointed in me!

I’m going to try to refrain from buying more things in the upcoming 3 months. Just ’cause I slipped off the no-buy wagon for a couple days doesn’t mean that I have to keep swiping my credit card.

Oh, and I bought a desk off Craigslist for $10. So now I finally have a place to sit down and blog study instead of sprawling on the floor.

  1. You started in January, right? 4 months is still pretty impressive. :)

I love print dresses and don’t have many or wear the ones I do have. That needs to change this summer…

Hey. Stop with the negatives!!! You have done really well. The changing seasons require some new clothes. Everything in moderation, its not good to go completely cold turkey!
    A girl needs her dresses!

  3. bah…I thought you were going to say you spent $600!!! ;-)

4 months IS pretty darn impressive, and it sounds like they were good buys (…I love vintage!). It’s like dieting…just because you cheated and had a square of chocolate doesn’t mean you should finish off the bar! So enjoy your purchases, but finish up your remaining 3 months!

It sounds like you got great deals!

Spending is like dieting. If you fall off the wagon, don’t beat yourself up. Just pick yourself up and get back on. I know you are doing FAR better than I am. :)

    (a) I love your new header

    (b) the vintage coat sounds adorable :)

    I say, enjoy!

  7. I think everyone needs the occasional treat. Savour your luxuries and I am sure you will have fresh energy to get back on the frugal road!

    And I just bought a few bracelets… ;)

The 10$ gorgeous dress sounds like a great deal. Great deals don’t wait for us to be over with our CASHes, sometimes, you just gotta make a little exception.

Four month is great and I’m sure you’ll go all the way to 6 with a reasonable amount of such exceptions.

  9. 6 months is QUITE a heady goal.

I just said one and I’m finding it hard LOL
