Saw it this weekend. Did you like?
More movies I’m excited about:
Sex and the City
The Dark Knight
Wall-E
Hancock
By the way, I get $7.50 AMC or Regal Entertainment tickets at Costco (good any time, anywhere… except in Manhattan where I believe there is a $1.50 surcharge), and they have helped me to keep my movie costs down. The theater closest to my home charges $12 for an evening ticket!
Oh, and this weekend, I just filled up my car for $4.05 / gallon. I guess this is only a hint of things to come.

Can’t wait for Wall-E! The trailer is amazing and I’m really looking forward to it.
And yes, there’s Sex and the City but somehow i don’t think it’ll be quite the same…
I agree with your movie selection… I’m excited too.
Saw Indy. Very disappointed. What did you think?
My BF is a movie-geek and all, but surprisingly we haven’t seen any new movies!!! We were going to see Iron Man, and I convinced him to wait two weeks so that we could see it free with my tickets…turns out he’s changed his mind, lol.
I might see Sex and the City with my sister and cousin, but I’m actually not dying to see it…I could stand waiting until the crowds die out a bit (I hate crowds). I AM excited about the Dark Knight though!
I think i need to sneak into costco. I have been boycotting movies because even matinee’s are running almost $10 each.
So the last movie I saw in a theater…. Juno.
buying tickets at costco is the way to go everytime, so much more affordable. haven’t seen indy yet but i’m hoping to. VERY MUCH looking forward to SATC this saturday. also looking forward to being scared out of my wits by the strangers, which i’m seeing on friday!
As for movie tickets, the local theatre in San Jose has a deal where you can pay $60 and get 10 movies out of it. We got one for christmas and just finished using it (5 movies between me and the girlfriend), and she just got another one for her birthday. Quite excellent.
As for Indy, I liked it quite a bit. It stuck with the semi-campy feeling of the previous films. And the nuclear-fridge scene was awesome, if completely unbelievable.
I laid in a supply of movie tickets with the usual No Special Engagements restriction last year at $5.50/each and I’ve only just used one of them! I’m starting to think I should sell a few of them off
I heard that Indy wasn’t good, but I LOVED Iron Man. Can’t wait to see Hulk, Dark Knight, and Wanted this summer. *fun!*
Yeah, I saw Indiana this past weekend…..I could have and should have waited until it was on dvd…..And I’m hyped to see Sex in the City Friday……I’ve already purchased my tickets…..I doubt if I see any of the other movies you listed.
Indiana Jones was fun but not fantastic – I will -always- love the originals! Can’t wait for “The Dark Knight.” Movie tickets in my area are $10, but I go to the ticket office at my now alma mater/university to buy tickets for $5.50-$8.00 (depending on low-to-high end theater). Also, gas here is $4.09 to $4.17 depending on where you pick up… I’ve even seen it as high as $4.29!
I went out to lunch on Saturday with my parents and my husband and father went to see the Indiana Jones movie. Not my sort of thing – I want to see Sex in the City but after the lunch and movie expense I cannot really justify the cost of seeing another movie for a while.
I couldn’t stand Indiana Jones, but to be fair I saw the midnight showing and maybe I was tired or something.
I saw the Narnia movie and was disappointed, but it was watchable (until the final battle).
I’m looking forward to seeing Iron Man and Hancock.
Can you get AMC theater tickets for $7.50 at any Costco? I’ve never heard of this before. Very interesting…
I saw Indiana Jones – it had absolutely no story line. They needed to add more detail. And for the end – weird!
On a positive note, I’m super excited for Sex and the City!!! I’ve been waiting to see this movie for forever. However, I’m not looking forward to the masses of women I will inevitably run into if I see it this weekend. Maybe I’ll wait a week or two…
$4.05! Aren’t you in California? Wow, the Chicago area really does have the most expensive gas if California is cheaper.
It went down to $4.06 the other day over here in NW Indiana but I know it was way over that in the city of Chicago. I think it was closer to $5 than $4.
I liked the Indiana Jones movie it had a lot of action in it. It was impressive.
I was not terribly disappointed in Indy 4 because I was expecting so little. George and Steve are WAY past the point of doing no wrong. And the fridge was stupid.
Check out m comic about it -

I thought Indiana Jones was very entertaining, and since I didn’t pay for my ticket (yay for free passes) a great couple of hours of entertainment. But I’m MUCH more excited for upcoming movies, including SATC (seeing it tonight!) and the Dark Knight. Those are my big two, but I love movies and see at least 2 or 3 a month. Trying to work it into my budget by finding ways to obtain cheaper/free tickets, so that costco deal is a great recommendation. Especially since AMC seems to be the most expensive out here, but they have the most movies!
I enjoyed Indian Jones as well.
