By Trader Joe’s Chocolate Croissants, I am referring to these almost-too-good-to-be-true delights.

Health-wise, these are not great for you (don’t look at the nutrition panel if you don’t have to). But taste-wise? Crispy, buttery, chocolate-y goodness all around. The best part is that there’s virtually zero prep involved (except time).
You just take a frozen croissant, set it out in room-temperature environment for 9 hours to let it rise, then pop it into the oven to bake for 15-25 minutes. Homemade taste & feel without all the work!
The personal finance blogger in me also appreciate the fact that the box of four croissants sells for $3.99. $1 a croissant? Amazing!
When I am feeling especially decadent, I will eat two of these. In one sitting.

omg! Ok, I am adding these to my grocery list for tomorrow. Look SO good. I love shopping at TJ’s.
Mmm!
MMMM…I love Trader Joe’s! This is dangerous. The Manhattan store is usually so crowded I just grab what I like and run, so I don’t usually make many new discoveries. I’ll have to keep a lookout for these.
You’re making me wish I’d packed more than a banana for breakfast today. Mmmm…
Oh, I wish I had a Trader Joe’s somewhere near me!
OMG…. I know! Aren’t those amazing?! I don’t allow myself to get them very often… absolutely divine!
YUM! I miss Trader Joe’s!
When I lived in Brussels, I would eat these little pain au chocolat for breakfast. Amazing how I never gained weight over there!
TJ’s should pay you for this post, because I’m 100% convinced that I’ll buy them next time I go. I’m tempted to go get them right now, even. I have never even NOTICED these little things!
I have a box in my freezer! They really are delish, but oh so naughty. I can’t believe you can eat two, I’d get sick. They are so buttery.
I went out and got some last night! I can’t wait to indulge!
I wish I lived closer to a Trader Joe’s. But no matter, I sometimes buy one from my work cafeteria in the mornings and they’re not too shabby.
Okay, I bought a box of these at your recommendation and made one yesterday. Best. Sunday. Breakfast. EVER. I am in love with Trader Joe (don’t tell my boyfriend, haha
).
Thanks for the heads-up!
If you think these are good, try the TJ’s Lava Cakes. I think they work out to less than $2 per cake too, and they are just as good as many I’ve had in restaurants for $7 and up!
Hahaha I’d take payment in the form of croissants!
They are so good. You can have a little brunch party and serve these, and I bet that all your friends will be amazed.
