I read through a little of Jane’s couponing techniques on her blog. The amount of stuff she gets with her coupons is really amazing. Even before I read her blog, I knew I wouldn’t be able to duplicate her strategies. I’m not much of a couponer for food.
I do 90% of my grocery shopping at two places: Trader Joe’s and Fresh & Easy. I don’t particularly enjoy food shopping, so the fact that these two stores seem a lot “happier” wins points with me. The prices are reasonable, and Trader Joe’s premade foods are just so delicious. Seriously!
If Trader Joe’s had coupons, I’d be ON IT in a minute. But I can’t complain though, their normal prices are already really good!

Fresh&Easy sometimes has coupons, but they are not as generous as they used to be.
We like the new Fresh and Easy but some prices are great and others, not so great. I need a price book now. We also shop at Ralphs so I do coupon a bit, but usually I only save $10-$20 on a $100+ bill. I’m not a crazy good couponer and have little interest in becoming one. I clip a lot of coupons to send to moneymatekate, she is great at the drugstore games and donates much of what she gets to charity.
I shop at TJ’s and Ralphs (out of convenience, i really don’t like ralphs) and I almost never coupon. But at ralphs, I almost always buy sale items.
I’ve never shopped at Fresh & Easy, but lord, do I love me some TJ’s. I’m going to miss them so much when I move to Austin. I just google mapped… There’s not a single TJ’s in Texas at all. What will I do without my Two Buck Chuck and delicious hummus?
I love TJ’s but ther are other mainstream items I am having to go to Von’s for. But when I go to Vons I get everything I can on sale. And their generic brand now is actually pretty good.
I saved $50-$75 last week by bringing my lunch and wasnt all sandwhiches.
Fresh N Easy has coupons. I tend to always use their coupons lately. And TJ’s does have some awesome products. I have fallen in deep with the Spiced Chai.

I heart TJ’s as you know from my Twitter last night. I shop there and at Whole Foods when I want something a bit fancier. I feel as though the food is healthier in TJ than at the regular stores and I can spend about $75 (minus wine and other non essentials) on groceries for the week which is pretty good.
Thank you for coupons.
