I like the style…but….and I have to say this…from my experience, Banana Republic shoes are uncomfortable. At least for me. I have bought flats, boots, pumps, and sandals from them. Each time I thought they would be comfortable. Actually, each time I would hope they would work out. I was wrong. So now they are just sitting pretty in my closet.
Well you yourself just said this would be unnecessary….but I do like the style. They’re very cute, I’d wear them. I’m going shoe shopping this weekend cause mine are falling apart, I’ve reached the necessity point.

I agree with L.A. Daze – all the BR shoes I own are uncomfortable, especially the heels! Definitely try them on before you buy.

I have a pair of shoes VERY similar to these except they are a nude color and are patent leather. They go with EVERYTHING and I wear them all year round. They were $250 (Kate Spade), but I have had them for years and they still look great and I still get regular compliments on them. I have never regretted the purchase.
If you think you’ll like and wear these shoes even half that much then I’d buy them at this price. But if you already have shoes similar to these or you won’t wear them that much, take a pass and wait for something you can’t live without!
I disagree with L.A.- I have 3 pairs of flats from BR and they are great- however, I’ve ordered them online each time (majorly discounted) and so 2 of the pairs are a half size too big. But its not a big deal considering they were always at at least half off, sometimes 75%+ off. Go into the store and see if you can try them on first!
Agrees with L.A. Daze, BR shoes are too tight on my feet and no other brand seems to be. Also the heel is ugly. I tend to wear a lighter brown shoes when I need to coordinate with a brown outfit, this brown is really too dark for my taste.
Eh… I am not in love with them… I probably wouldn’t buy them. Besides, they aren’t really necessary either.
Yea. They’re classics, you’ll get your money’s worth in terms of number of times you’ll wear them almost immediately, and they’ll look cute with pants, skirts, or jeans. (Actually, they’d be ADORABLE with jeans now that I think about it.) No-brainer.
If you’re worried about fit, check to see if you can return them without much hassle. (Shoes.com has a great policy on this, as do most shoe websites, I think.)

Perfect for work, with either skirt or pants. BR makes nice shoes. Great price. Yay.
Nay. Too tall of a heel for me and the snub nosed toe will be out of fashion in 3 yrs. (God I cannot wait till that style goes away. It’s so eww.)
BUT for $48 they are a good deal and if you expect to wear them at least 2-3x a week for the next 3 years, then get them.

nay. Banana has sales during which you would be able to get shoes like this for $20. Besides, banana shoes are super uncomfortable.

These heels is *totally* unnecessary purchase, but I like them. So… I would be saved from myself if I am convinced, or, er, guilted into not getting them.
But it seems that most the commenters are girls after my own heart – stacked heels? Might just have to get them.
