Experience, Not Stuff

Experience, Not Stuff

Experience, not stuff: I've decided to make this my mantra to live by. It'll be hard, because I like nice things (ex: shoes), but guess which of the following I remember the most? What's your favorite berry?

by WellHeeled on June 22, 2009

Blueberry?

Blackberry?

Strawberry?

Raspberry?

Cherry?

As I speak I am munching on a bowl of blueberries ($2-something per box at Trader Joe’s). Balance out the cookies I’ve had earlier, I say. :)

Like a true Swede, I love lingonberries. On everything. Yum yum yum. We also have a ton of huckleberries over here, and huckleberry wine is some of the most delicious alcohol I’ve ever tasted.

I don’t really like berries. The only one I eat are the straw variety. Why did you list cherries? They are not a berry.

Ooooh…I’d say strawberries. With ice cream :P i find most berries too intense to eat on their own. But I love blueberries in cakes, muffins and milkshakes!

I have been addicted to blueberries & cherries lately. I get them fresh from either the Farmer’s Market or Whole Foods. So yummy!

My favorite is huckleberry.. they are sweeter then blueberry’s, but unforutnatly they arn’t sold commercially so you have to either get them at farmer’s markets or pick them yourself.

Strawberries by far. Blueberries are good but they have to be just right, not too tart or too sweet and mushy. Raspberries are a close second, and blackberries are great too but the seeds make them third.

I love berry season! I love a good strawberry. Hopefully I’ll be able to go strawberry picking this season!

I’m like Forrest Gump and shrimp, except with blueberries. The best way to make beer “healthy”? Buy blueberry beer (Wachusett is my fave) and put in some frozen blueberries!

I guess strawberries, but when I first read this, I seriously thought it was going to be a post about new phone technology. Sad.

Raspberry. Hands down, the best berry out there. The black and straw tie for second.

Raspberries are great! Strawberries are a close second.

I once read that ounce for ounce blueberries have more antioxidants and other nutrients than any other berry. Ever since then I’ve picked them most often when I have a choice.

But I really like strawberries – with cottage cheese for breakfast, with chocolate for dessert, with champagne pretty much anytime…

Raspberries! Raspberries! I know they have seeds, but something about their flavor is SO addictive. I cannot say no to one or two packs, especially this time of year when they’re on sale, and I usually eat them by themselves, or with yogurt, like I did today at lunch.
