Favorite treats from chain stores

by Wellheeled on July 12, 2009

In no particular order…

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: Strawberry cream tea latte – iced or hot, depending on the weather and my mood ($4)

Starbucks: Iced chai latte ($3)

In-N-Out: Hamburger with extra grilled onions ($2)

McDonalds: Sausage egg McMuffin ($2.50)

Pinkberry: Pomegranate yogurt with mochi, mangos, and blueberries ($6)

Coldstone: Sweet cream ice cream with brownie, bananas, and fudge ($5)

Rubio’s: Fish taco ($2) – but I can never just have one.

Chipotle: Fajita bowl with barbarcoa with extra corn salsa ($7)

What are your favorite treats? And what do you pay?

Will have to try the black and white Starbucks mocha. I usually get iced skinny Americanos ($1.85 because I use my Starbucks card to get $.35 off the syrup, or $1.75 on days I remember to bring my reusable cup).

Rubio’s! In-N-Out! Chipotle! You are making me miss California…I really hope the LAX has a Rubios because I miss my fish tacos (and I will be in LAX this Thursday!)!!

I also am partial to bacon-egg-cheese croissants at BK. They are like $7 here (NZD). Actually, any fast-food breakfast sandwich makes me salivate…

Chick Fil A: Spicy Chicken Wrap and sweet tea
McDonalds: Chicken nuggets and fries (or a kid’s meal with a plain hamburger)

I don’t live in CA and have only been to an In N Out twice, but YUM both times. Would definitely go more often if I lived there.

Anywhere: Coke. Yeah, soda is bad for you, but it is a treat rather than a habit! $1-$3

In-n-Out: Cheese Burger $2

Starbucks/Anywhere: I usually just get a regular old latte $3

Trader Joe’s: currently raspberry and cream frozen yogurt bars, but it rotates. Butter Waffle cookies too.

And it is totally disgusting to think about, but in the midwest they have Taco John’s and I love their Churros, basically fried dough, warm, covered in sugar. Not sure cost.

Chipotle: Chicken Burrito Bowl with green chile Salsa (no cheese) & bag of chips. I use the chips as my fork. ($7.50)

I think that’s about it… :) Fun post.

I’ve been known to spend up to $7 at a Pinkberry-type self serve yogurt place! I usually try to make this my out to eat night instead of going to a restaurant and I end up saving a few dollars in the end.
