My TJ milk has spoiled at least 4 times. I still shop there but do not buy milk or produce because this also spoils. I wonder why? I am writing from No. Ca.

I just found out I am under the same situation. This time is 3 spoiled 1/2 gallons.

It is unacceptable. This is the TJ's located @ Forest Hills, Queens.

Awwww, that's awful! I like Costco's Organic Milk. They come in a package of 3, and I have never had any spoilage.

I had the same experience at my local T_J store. It's not just the T_J brand. I think it's becos they don't keep the milk behind the glass door.

@everyone
Thanks for the comments. I do keep my milk on the shelf on the door. But my fridge is set on the coldest setting and my fridge is never in the sunlight. And the smell... definitely b-a-d.

For next time I'll put the milk in the back of the fridge and see if that helps.

Do you keep it in the fridge door? It is typically less cold on the door. Try shoving it in the back?

Is it just that it is taking on flavours from the fridge? Maybe you need some baking soda in the fridge. Our milk kept tasting weird until we realized the whole fridge smelled weird.

Hopefully they replace it just as easy as the last time!

Have you checked your refrigerator settings? I was having issues with cheese going bad too soon, but turning the temp down in the fridge seemed to solve the problem.

Wow! That is annoying! I get most of my milk there and I've never had an issue. I'm wondering what type of milk you're buying?

Have you checked your fridge temperature with a fridge thermometer? Sometimes the internal cooling system can go crazy, and milk is one of the first indicators.

Is your fridge located near a window, where the sun is shining onto it part of the day? The sun could be strong enough that, for a part of the day, the fridge isn't able to keep the temperature appropriately low.

Quick note: this happened to me a few times when I moved into a new apartment. Turns out my fridge wasn't set cold enough. Get a small thermometer and make sure your refridgerator is set at the right temp (around 40 degrees). My milk stopped spoiling so quickly once I got the temp down.
