Photoshop is addicting. And after stumbling in the program for a few days, I understand exactly why stars insist on releasing on retouched photos. If even a newbie like me can smooth skin, eliminate under-eye circles, and brighten lips, imagine what a professional can do!
Top is before (image via sheknows.com), bottom is after.

Can you tell what areas I retouched? (Obviously, the hair is something I did NOT retouch. Still trying to find a good tutorial on how to clean up flyaway hair – if you know any, please let me know).
Constructive feedback / critiques are very welcome!

Nice work! If only my under-eye circles could be retouched every morning…
I may have a flyaway hair tutorial at home – alternately, I might know someone who could send you one. Stay tuned.
Nicely done WH! Possibly a calling as a paparazzo???
the under eye clean up looks great! Did you do something to the lower left side of her face… it looks a little off/different – but can’t pinpoint it.
@ Jessie – I reshaped her jawline a little bit to make it less angular and a bit more rounded. I also slightly tilted the sides of her lips to give her a small smile.
It looks like you 1) removed the bags from under her eyes, 2) removed some o the hair from hanging in front of her face, 3) you reshaped/cleaned up her eyebrows, 4) brightened/lightened the skin on her face and 5) as you mentioned earlier, you adjusted her jawline and smile.
Rose<–love reading your blog.
Wow!!! …I have some photos I’d like retouched before I put them up on facebook. How much??
@ Sense – Just sent you an email.
Great job! I’m trying to teach myself Photoshop as well!
What program do you use to do this?
