My husband and are I trying to cut our grocery budget by $25 per week (or $100 per month). So between now and Easter, we should save at least $125! We love food so this is a big challenge for us!

In order to save an additional $500-$600 by Easter, I have automatic deposit set up for my regular savings and then add any additional money from rebates, babysitting, cash back, reimbursement to savings as well. I also use coupons, take public transportation, and pay my car insurance up front to save some money on required expenses.

To save money, I'm going to create a WIN-WIN scenario! Step #1) Monetize Financial Samurai. Step #2) Give all the money away to local charities. #3) Use the tax deductions help offset some tax liabilities. #4) Have a lot of fun trying to build the site, and help the kids, and save some money.
Best,
Samurai
Stop trying to stir up trouble
Great plan.. the kids will appreciate it.

I would like to save $300 by cooking and eating at home every night and by buying needs – not wants.

By April 4th I plan to save $125. I'm doing so by avoiding eating out with the Hubs and bringing my lunch to work. And the biggest (read: hardest) one is giving up my $2 a day Dunkin' Donuts addicition.

I've been trying to save money and stick to my newly set budget by purchasing gift cards for my categories. I have one for groceries, one for clothes, one for gas, etc. I can only use what is on the card, and once it is over, it is over. For Easter though, I am not allowing myself clothing purchases so all that budgeting money will be going into my E fund – hopefully $200 by Easter!

I am a student and I don't earn a lot of money but based on the rule of thirds I would like to save a third of my income, about $218, before the fourth. To do this I am going to start catching the bus or riding my bike, stop eating out, and be an otherwise thrifty individual.

We're planning to save about $1000 by Easter. We actually started about two months ago, severely slashing our eating out expenditures and cooking at home. We also use Netflix and the library moreso than Amazon and Bestbuy. Plus we've set up saving goals for ourselves to motivate the family.

Hoping to save $250 by Easter. I'm planning on making espresso at home (as opposed to the coffee shop), and brown bagging my lunch three times a week.

Hey lady – I subscribe through Google Reader
And I plan to save at least $300 by Easter (or by April 1, whatever), by actually putting the money in my savings account this month (instead of just keeping it in checking and then spending it).
I hope to save $400 by Easter.
I'm currently unemployed so this is a matter of leaving whatever is left over of unemployment in my bank account. each month.
